In conjunction with Hokule'a's 2007 Voyage to Micronesia and Japan, students from around the world were asked "What values are essential for a world characterized by peace and social justice?"
The winners of the essay contest, sponsored by the Asia Pacific Leadership Program of the East-West Center, in partnership with the Nisei Veterans Endowed Forum Series of the Colleges of Arts & Sciences, University of Hawai'i at Mānoa, were announced over the weekend.
