Aloha Hokulea & Kamahele crewmembers and the rest of the PVS,

Congratulations on the successful completion of one of the most difficult but no doubt wonderful journeys Hokule'a has ever made. We are elated that you have arrived safely in Yokohama, but sad at the same time because your arrival means the current journey is over.

This particular journey has special meaning for me being from the big island but living here in Japan for the last 14 years. It was an incredibly humbling experience seeing Hokulea in Okinawan waters, and it goes without saying our family grew much larger as we met the crews.

You've excelled at spreading the message of aloha and peace - Hawaii could not have chosen better ambassadors - I know you've touched and changed many lives with this journey. I look forward to the day another wa'a from Hawaii visits Okinawa.

Thank you for allowing us to share in the experience of a lifetime. God bless you all - we hope to see you again someday...
