Last Friday (3/9/07), Makali'i crew member Mr. Mike Manu came into our class for a visit. He came dressed in rain gear that is worn to stay dry, brought in a cooler full of the items taken on a voyage, and taught the children how to read the star patterns and understand swell directions. He shared wonderful photos of Papa Mau, the beautiful islands he was able to visit while sailing, and the voyages he was able to join.
