Aloha Saito Iruka,
Mahalo nui loa for your kind, sincere & aloha spirited words you shared in your reply to me. Wow!! I miss Moloka`i!! fresh hot Molokai bread too!! I do have a big number of family out there in Molokai. We ( my hula group/ musicians) won't be the dancers welcoming in the Hokule`a. Majority of us would be there in greeting them & showing our aloha & support for them. Here on our Navy base (Yokosuka, Japan) it's just me & a small bunch of Hawaii ladies that formed to share our home Hawaii. We also have a small musicians: 3 Ukulele players, 1 guitar player & 1 slack key guitary player. A couple of them are from Hawaii. The rest are Japan's Native. It's so awesome to share our Hawaiian Culture with others out here & share how much love & respect we have for our home. Now I am so excited on waiting patiently for the arrival of the Hokulea to dock into Yokohama. It's like home is coming here to Japan!! Mahalo!!!

It's so chicken skin exciting that you're close to Yokohama!!! Could you please tell me an estimated time you'll be arriving on the 9th? My hula sisters & I have a huge hula show for our base on the 9th. Us Hawaiians we like support you guys too!!! I am emailing you from Yokosuka, Japan Navy Base. I am a Native from Honolulu, Oahu & first time living away from home...I miss home but being away I feel it's so awesome to share our Hawaiian Culture which helps me to be closer to our Hawaiian Ancestors. Also dancing the hula out here ables me & my hula sisters (Hawaii ladies)to share the love of Hawaii. We feel blessed having the Hokulea & your crew re-do this historic Voyage. We can't wait to greet & meet you all!!! Enjoy your journey & have a safe one!!
