The canoe tours are scheduled for 10am-noon and 2pm-4pm, but they accept reservations starting an hour before (9am and 1 pm). So go there early to obtain a reservation ticket (seiriken). The earlier you get there, the earlier you tour the boat. When I went for the 2pm-4pm tour, all the reservation tickets were gone by 2:20 pm. (Luckily I got there at 1:30 pm.) Probably worse on the 16th, Sat. Good luck to you. The boat was awesome.
