Aloha!Welcome to the Teacher Space. Educators are encouraged to exchange educational resources that connect the Hōkūle'a voyage to the classroom. Please utilize the Teacher Space to share your classroom experiences, education related ideas and resources, including questions. Discussion spaces are organized by Elementary School, Middle School, and High School in order to better facilitate communication. Teachers from different parts of the world will also be able to use these spaces to establish collaborative learning projects between students of similar learning levels or grades.
In the Teacher Space, you will also find sample lesson plans, activities, and educational resources that integrate important themes of the voyage. Below is a link to general instructions on how to use the Education Website. You can also access the 2007 Hōkūle’a Calendar here as well. If you would like to set up a satellite phone conversation for your classroom with Hōkūle'a crew members, please see Satellite Phone Call Instructions below.
